Silver-sided sector spider - 50-40d-08291

Zygiella x-notata common name missing sector orb weaver spider or Silver-sided sector spider.

This spider about 7mm long (body) was on my kitchen ceiling, traversing an almost invisible web which I suspect was not its own. It was night time and the only time of observation, so suspect that it was not its normal habitat. Maybe, just prowling for a mate.
